Being the backbone of society is no easy task, which is why becoming an attorney requires extensive training, a seven or more year educational commitment and the ability to work under a solid code of ethics. Although the sacrifices are significant, being an attorney is one of the noblest careers available.

Attorneys, also known as lawyers, advise citizens on various legal matters and advocate for clients in the court of law. Most attorneys work in similar conditions; however, their specialization determines an extremely large portion of how they spend their time. Not all lawyers, for instance, participate in court. In fact, even trial lawyers, who are specifically trained in courtroom techniques, spend the majority of their time researching, interviewing witnesses and working behind the scenes with their clients.

On the forefront of all aspiring attorneys’ minds is their education. Without a formal education, becoming an attorney is impossible.
